Land Of The Dragons is composition for cello and piano that would fit perfectly into films such as "The Lord Of The Rings," "The Last Kingdom" or "Gladiator." Indeed, the compelling music catapults the listener into a world reminiscent of knights, castles, dragons and nymphs. The character of the music is at once lyrical and impetuous, employing a great wealth of textures and culminating in a virtuoso climax. As in his other works, Belgian composer Stefan Meylaers employs a cinematic style that is at once original and accessible. For this performance, he himself took place behind the piano.
